This year's theme of Skalite Awards by Skal International Istanbul Club, which brings together professionals from the branches of tourism sector such as hospitality, agency, airline, and congress centres, etc, was "Despite Everything". Skalite 2017 Special Jury Award was granted to Elite World Hotels which opened one more hotel in Istanbul and made two investments in Kucukyali and Sapanca. Elite World Hotels chain has been operating in the field of tourism with EWP hotel,
EWİ Hotel in Taksim, Elite World İstanbul, Elite World Business in Florya, Elite World Van in Van, and Elite World Marmaris in Marmaris for 15 years and opened one more hotel in Istanbul Gunesli, Basın Express which grabs attention with its elegant design: Elite World Europe Hotel. Also, Elite World Asia Hotel with a capacity of 700 beds in Kucukyali on the side of E-5 highway (Aegean side), one of the busiest districts of Istanbul, and Elite World Sapanca Hotel, an ideal place to come together for both families and business world, are two of the investments by Elite World Hotels.

Elite World Hotels is also gearing up to expand overseas, and will make the chain's first overseas investments by opening Elite World Hotel St. Petersburg with a capacity of 1400 beds in 2019.
