Emel Elik Bezaroğlu, Board Member and Sales and Marketing Director of Elite World Hotels, was honored with Success Award in tourism for being one of the inspiring names for women and young people.  Despite coming from a family owning a hotels chain, she worked in every rank in hotel management and became marketing manager at the age of 23. She also supports quality employment in the sector and education. As the hero of a success story, Miss Bezaroğlu showed that women can rise and succeed in a firm operating in Turkey and abroad despite the turmoil in the tourism sector. She went from strength to strength creating a huge added-value in the sector during a period of financial difficulties.

Prominent names of the business world, politics, civil society, and the media came together in the first Supporting Women Entrepreneurship Summit organised by YAPDER (Association of New Pursuits Initiative) in colloboration with Sarıyer Municipality, MEF University, Daikin, and Hepsiburada.com. The summit was opened by speeches of Commitee President Nil Yıldızalp and President of YAPDER and EGD Celal Toprak. Chancellor of MEF University Professor Muhammed Şahin hosted the event on Maslak Campus of MEF University to which Şükrü Genç, Mayor of Sarıyer district, and many guests attended. Women role-modelling and inspiring the society were given success awards to encourage them.
