Covering an area of 3713 km2, Lake Van is the largest body of water in Turkey and the greatest soda-water lake in the world. You can see all shades of turquoise while watching the lake surrounded by spring flowers. Lake Van and its surrounding offer unique views for photography enthusiasts.

Akdamar Church (the Church of the Holy Cross) and Island are among the places you can visit during your trip in Lake Van. The church is on the south-east of the island and was built between 915 and 921 AD by Architect Bishop Manuel, under the supervision of Gagik I, an Armenian King who reigned over the Kingdom of Vaspurakan. The church is a universal must-see presenting themes such as religious subjects derived from the Bible and the Old Testament.
Lake Abant lies in the south-west of Bolu city at a distance of 34 km to the city, and is an ideal destination for both day trips and staying overnight with its all-year round mesmerising beauty. Lake Abant and 1150 hectare area surrounding it has been under protection as a natural conservation area since 1988.

Covering an area of 1642 hectare, Yedigoller basin has been under protection as a national park since 1965. There are 7 lakes lined up from north to south within the national park at an area of 1500 m: Buyukgol, Seringol, Deringol, Nazlıgol, Kuçukgol, Incegol and Sazligol.
You can spend your day at picnic areas by Buyukgol or other places. You can explore the lakes one by one and witness how nature is revived in spring.
